Sonny Bill Williams drops major hint over next career move

Sonny Bill Williams has dropped the biggest hint yet that he will be taking a new career move.

And, it is likely to be in the boxing ring with a greatly anticipated fight against Paul Gallen being touted.

As Gallen geared up for his long-anticipated fight against Darcy Lussick before Christmas, the former Cronulla Sharks star called out Williams for ‘running away’.

Williams had originally agreed to a fight between the pair, but Gallen has revealed to the Daily Telegraph that he dodged a deal which would be worth $8 million.

British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn wants Gallen and Williams to fight each other twice in 2022 – with each boxer taking home $2 million per fight – as part of his attempts to build streaming service DAZN in Australia.

But, Gallen previously revealed that the New Zealand cross-code star had yet to reply to the offer made by the ex-Cronulla captain and his team.

That being said, Williams looks to be gearing up for a fight, posting on his social media a video of him boxing a punch bag with the caption: “#March2022”.

Meanwhile, Williams’ autobiography hasn’t exactly set the world alight.

That’s according to the Daily Telegraph which has revealed that the publisher, Hachette, is a long way away from earning any of its $1 million outlay for the publishing rights to the book.

That was almost a record deal for the rights to publish a book, with You Can’t Stop The Sun from Shining being published in October.
