Slater returns after 12-month absence

Slater returns

In a massive boost for the Melbourne Storm, Queensland and Australia, superstar full-back Billy Slater is expected to make his long-awaited comeback this Thursday.

Slater has not played in the NRL for over a year with a shoulder injury that many thought would end his career, but the 33-year-old has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to battle his way back.

If 25-time Kangaroos international can get through unscathed and reach his former high standards, he will be lined up for both an Origin and World Cup return later in the year.

The Melbourne Storm will most likely be installed as the competition favourites if they can defeat Brisbane Broncos on Thursday night, with all eyes on their champion no.1 Billy Slater.
