Sky Sports pundits tear into Wigan Warriors’ second half display

Wigan Warriors have been stunned at home against Leeds Rhinos tonight.

Against the 12 men Rhinos, Wigan lost the second half 34-4 as Leeds turned around a 14-6 deficit to claim a 40-18 win over the Warriors.

A remarkable turn around Jon Wilkin said the Warriors were so far short of where they want to be and worried for Wigan given the way they couldn’t match Leeds’ intensity.

“Wigan have really struggled. Matt Peet will have something to say about this second half performance,” he said.

“They are so far short of where they want to be.

“Worryingly for Wigan Leeds have played at an intensity that you would have expected them to be able to match.”

Kyle Walker then gave an insight into the fans fury:

“Matt Peet’s frustration is shared by the Wigan fans. They are not happy as some turn to the exits.”

Bill Arthur meanwhile added: “In the second half they have just fallen apart.”

As Barrie McDermott claimed their performance would not sit well: “They have conceded five tries to 12 men and that never ever sits well.”

It is a worrying defeat for the Warriors who before their recent defeats were top of the league.
