Sky Sports pundits slam Leeds Rhinos’ performance

Leeds Rhinos suffered a massive come down after their win over Catalans Dragons last week as they lost 20-12 to Hull KR last night.

After the game, Jon Wilkin slammed their performance as “flat” saying:

“Leeds produced a flat performance, forget the weather, it is the same for both sides. Leeds were just flat.”

Jon Wells added: “It was such a comedown after the heights of last week. That is really significant for their season I think.

“Leeds imploded and that will be a big worry for Rohan Smith.

“How much of a confidence swing has that been? Last week after the win over Catalans we’re saying this is the start of their season and then they lose tonight.

“It was the same against St Helens.

“They lost to Castleford, became the first team to lose to them this year and then beat the unbeaten Catalans Dragons.”

Wilkin meanwhile was critical of Leeds’ inconsistency:

“You can’t get a puncture, patch it up and get another puncture. That is not a way forward. That is not a way to become a top four side. You need consistent performance.

“I thought they would back up after Catalans but they were just flat.

“I think Leeds were rattled by the errors they made and struggled with fluency.

“Hull KR put pressure on them and they forced them into pressure.”
