Sky Sports pundits go in on Hull FC’s “disastrous” form

Today is one of the best days in the rugby league calendar.

It will certainly be a Good Friday of rugby league action and it all kicks off with a huge Hull derby as Hull KR head over to Hull FC who have lost the last five games.

Thus, Sky Sports pundits Jon Wells and Jamie Jones-Buchanan have slammed their start to the season.

Jon Wells said: “It has been a disastrous start to the season.

“They brought Tony Smith in to re-awake the beast. This was all the talk at the start of the season that they are a big club.

“I know he has runs on the board and I think he is a great fella.”

Jamie Jones-Buchanan echoed this sentiment:

“Some of Hull FC’s stats defensively are horrendous and tonight they have dropped under Cas. Some of what they are churning out is miles off.”

That fact is in fact true with Hull FC heading into the game second from bottom and the closest side to Wakefield Trinity at the foot of the table.

The Black and Whites will be without star signing Tex Hoy through a hamstring strain whilst Jake Trueman continues to be out.

However, Ben McNamara could give them a more settled halfback pairing but the big question will be who stands up against Jordan Abdull’s outstanding kicking game?
