Hull FC were able to get one over on the Catalans Dragons yesterday with a 14-8 victory, but it was a terrifically hard-fought game.
In fact, the Black and Whites had to rely heavily on their big men in the middle of the field as the likes of Ligi Sao and Chris Satae were once more in brilliant form.
The Polynesian duo made considerable metres against a huge Catalans pack and put themselves about in defence, so much so that Sky Sports pundit Phil Clarke had wonderful words to say about one of them.
Satae has enjoyed a remarkable season in Hull colours in 2022, picking up where he left off in 2021 and Clarke likened him to one of the best props in world rugby league.
“Chris Satae is similar to Alex Walmsley in the centre of the field,” Clarke said on Sky Sports.
“The rest of the field need to complement his strength to the fullest and the opportunities he provides with quick play the balls.
“And if they do that it could be something for Hull to push into the top four.”
The Black and Whites’ top four hopes will take a major boost if they are able to overcome Toulouse Olympique next Saturday.
