Sky Sports pundit Jon Wilkin and Jamie Jones-Buchanan predict who will win the Super League Grand Final

Every man and his dog have put in their own predictions for the 2022 Super League season.

Now it’s the turn of the Sky Sports commentators and pundits with Jon Wilkin and Jamie Jones-Buchanan just two of those involved at the broadcasting giants giving their predictions.

Wilkin, unsurprisingly, has gone again for St Helens to win the Grand Final and pick up a record fourth title in a row and third in a row under Kristian Woolf.

Wilkin told Sky Sports: “St Helens. Think the New York Yankees, Melbourne Storm, Manchester United – all sports dynasties at one time or another. Saints are building one.”

For Jamie Jones-Buchanan, his prediction couldn’t be more different.

The former Leeds Rhinos star went for 2021 Grand Finalists Catalans Dragons to go one better in 2022: “Catalans Dragons. With head coach Steve McNamara’s reputation nearing Merovingian status in the south of France, I can see him commanding this hungry, hurting and regimented outfit one step further in 2022.”

Both Wilkin and Jones-Buchanan have gone for last year’s top two so it will be interesting if there are any outside challengers to their charge to Old Trafford.
