With the season heading towards its climax, Sky Sports have confirmed their exclusive picks for Round 25 of Super League with Wigan Warriors set to host Hull KR in a top-of-the-table clash.
It will be the second game that has been selected for exclusive coverage in Round 25 after Warrington Wolves versus St Helens was confirmed earlier in the week.
That fixture underwent a date change, however, the clash between the top two teams in Super League will not with Wigan set to host Hull KR on Friday 6th September, as initially scheduled.
Initially, that game was set to clash with the match between Warrington Wolves and St Helens but the fixture between the Wire and the Red Vee was moved back a day to Saturday 7th September, slated for a 3 pm kickoff.
It was a controversial decision with fans who understandably had made prior plans, however, Warrington have come in for praise after offering full refunds on tickets to any fans who purchased before the announcement.
Will the Super League Leaders Shield be won or lost in Round 25?
Round 25 of Super League looks set to be the most important of the campaign so far with the League Leaders Shield possibly settled that round.
The Sky Sports exclusive fixtures will showcase all of the current top four, including the runaway three who could win the League Leaders Shield.
That Friday night fixture between Wigan Warriors and Hull KR will mark the third meeting between the two sides this season with the home team winning each game so far, handing Matt Peet’s side a boost.
