Sky Sports apologise for problems during Hull derby coverage

Sky Sports have apologised for the picture and sound quality during the Hull derby today.

During the coverage of the game they issued the following apology:

“We apologise for the picture and sound quality.”

This comes after they were forced to postpone the coverage of the game due to “technical issues.”

The coverage was set to begin at 12:15 but only started at 12:25.

Sky instead were forced to show Grand Final Gold from 2015 and 2014.

Brian Carney also apologised for the footage, which is buffering with both the picture and sound fluctuating, yet promised “a brilliant team is working hard to fix things.”

The coverage may not be ideal but Hull KR’s start has been.

Ryan Hall has scored the opening try after a lovely kick was batted back and offloaded over the top to the former Leeds Rhinos winger.

He is chasing the record set by former teammate and one of his current coaches Danny McGuire.

McGuire scored 247 Super League tries for Leeds and Hull KR and Ryan Hall is chasing him hard after becoming only the second player to score 200 Super League tries.

Josh Charnley of Leigh Leopards is also in the mix for the record.

They play Salford Red Devils on Saturday.

Like every game this round, that game is also on Sky.
