SIx NRL stars linked with moves to Super League clubs

Six NRL stars have been offered to Super League clubs, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Among them is 31-year-old New Zealand Warriors forward Leeson Ah Mau, who is desperate to prolong his rugby league career for as long as possible despite not being given an offer on his current contract.

One NRL club has reportedly given Ah Mau a much-less pricey deal, but a Super League move is the most likely.

Next up is St George Illawarra playmaker Gerard Beale who has 203 NRL appearances under his belt, but is now being pushed out by the Dragons.

Corey Norman, Beale’s St George, is also hunting a move to the UK hemisphere after being told he is no longer wanted at the Dragons.

Also being pushed out of the NRL altogether is Cronulla veteran Josh Dugan. Breaching the COVID rules left him with a $50,000 hole in his wallet as well as an exit from the NRL as all 16 clubs have decided against taking the centre on.

Dugan has been linked to Super League, but retirement may be the best option.

Another bad boy looking for a UK club is Dylan Napa who, after a seriously disappointing end to his Canterbury Bulldogs career, is now set to be on the move.

But that move may not be to a fellow NRL side after Brisbane rejected the chance to sign the forward.

Sam Williams’ name will also ring a bell for Super League followers, especially Wakefield fans with whom he had a short spell.

Having been at Canberra for the past two seasons, the halfback is unlikely to get another deal with Super League looking the only option.
