Warrington overcame Castleford last night in a rip-roaring, highly-entertaining fixture which condemned the Tigers to a second successive season without earning a play-off spot.
The Wolves had already secured a top three finish after an inconsistent year and the 40-24 victory was evidence of their up-and-down mentality in 2021.
Warrington ran into a 32-0 lead, only to be pegged back to 32-24 before rallying near the end as Mike Cooper saw red and Josh Charnley yellow for dangerous tackles, but just how did social media react?
One Warrington fan has his fingers crossed that Cooper doesn’t receive a ban.
Let’s hope Cooper doesn’t cop a ban now, watts tackle minutes later identical it’s so inconsistent.

Another Wire supporter underlined the Jekyll and Hyde performance.

Another Warrington supporter believed head coach Steve Price shouldn’t have put such a strong team out.
That’s two that could be suspended for next week. Not sure what was going through price’s head putting a strong team out.

Though a different fan highlighted that it was the players’ fault for indiscipline.
Can't blame price for players losing discipline

Another Tigers supporter felt that head coach Daryl Powell should have left last season.
Rubbish tonight , players didn’t turn up ! . Well done Daryl for turning this club around when you came in to be a solid super league team . Should have departed last season IMO , but hey ho. Fresh thinking and recruitment required , hopefully onwards and upwards ..👌🏻

A different Castleford supporter was unhappy with the performance.
It's not exactly the first game this year we've embarrassed ourselves. Admirable 20mins fightback but overall crap

Another Tigers fan brought attention to Sky Sports pundit Phil Clarke’s good nature.
