Another two shock names have been put into the hat for the Leeds Rhinos job.
Sky Sports pundit Jenna Brooks drew up a list of potential candidates for the role which included a few surprise names.
Brooks started by talking about Danny Ward and Danny McGuire, stating: “Danny Ward hasn’t spoken to anyone at Leeds, Danny McGuire isn’t ready for a head coaching position.”
But, Leeds chief executive Gary Hetherington will be leaving for Australia at the end of the day and there are a plethora of targets, according to Brooks.
“Ryan Carr, Cameron Ciraldo and Paul Green will be on the list to meet in Australia.
“Michael Maguire is at the bottom of the NRL with Wests Tigers and even Wayne Bennett has mentioned.”
Jamie Jones-Buchanan’s name hasn’t been bandied about and he has ruled himself out of the position.
“I won’t be beaten by passion or hard work by any of those, but I lack a great deal of experience.
“I hope Gary finds the right individual whilst he’s over there.”
Shane Flanagan is also thought to have ruled himself out of the job following his new role at St George Illawarra Dragons in the recruitment team.
