Sheffield sign ex-Hull centre

Sheffield have confirmed the signing of former Hull academy centre Connor Bower from Doncaster on a two-year deal.

The 22-year-old centre has spent the past two seasons with the Dons after leaving FC in 2017, going on to make 44 appearances in League 1, scoring 21 tries.

He also had spells on dual-registration at York and Hemel during his time with the Black and Whites, but never played a Super League game.

“For me, I’ve always aspired to get to this level (the Championship),” he said. “When I spoke to Mark (Aston), everything he was saying was music to my ears and I could really picture myself being here – especially after talking to the Hull boys too, they speak very highly of Mark and the club itself.

“To progress as a player is something I want to do and I’m happy to say I’ll be here for the next two years as it’s comfortable for myself so I can knuckle down and hopefully we can have a couple of successful seasons.”
