Sheffield hope stadium will be ready

Sheffield Eagles have released a statement saying they hope their stadium will be ready in time for the start of the season.

The Eagles’ home Olympic Legacy Park is currently undergoing construction works, to make the stadium bigger.

Currently, their first three home games are listed on the RFL website as “TBC”.

They say that whilst they do hope to play the majority of their games at Olympic Legacy Park, they are also looking at a viable contingency, should the stadium not be ready.

They add: “The RFL has assisted with the club’s request of a reduced number of home games during the early stages of the 2020 season and we’d like to thank them for their support with this.

“A full update we hope to have prior to the 2020 members evening / open training on Friday 6th December at Sheffield Hallam Sports Park.”
