Sene-Lefao, Partington and Smith to miss first week of play-offs

Warrington’s Matty Smith, Wigan’s Oli Partington and Castleford’s Jesse Sene-Lefao will all miss the first round of play-off fixtures through suspension.

Sene-Lefao has been served with a two-match ban following his sending off against Wigan for dropping his knee onto Partington’s head.

The Warriors’ youngster has also been banned for one game for a ‘Grade A Strikes with Arm’ and was given a caution for ‘Other Contrary Behaviour’.

Oli Partington has been banned for one game.

Wolves halfback Smith has received a one game ban for dangerous contact with Leeds fullback Jack Walker during his side’s defeat to the Rhinos on Friday.

Here is the full list of sanctions issued by the Match Review Panel following last week’s round of Super Legaue, Championship, League 1 and Academy fixtures:

Matt Parcell (Hull KR) – Grade C Dangerous Contact – 3 Match Penalty Notice

Luke Briscoe (Leeds) – Grade B Drops with Knees – 1 Match Penalty Notice

Matty Smith (Warrington) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice

Jesse Sene-Lefao (Castleford) – Grade C Strikes with Knee – 2 Match Penalty Notice

Oliver Partington (Wigan) – Grade A Strikes with Arm – 1 Match Penalty Notice

Matthew Wright (Newcastle) – Grade D High Tackle – Refer to Tribunal

Danny Tickle (Workington) – Grade B Dangerous Contact – 1 Match Penalty Notice

Oliver Brooks (Widnes) – Grade F Unacceptable Language – Refer to Tribunal

James Cunningham (London) – Grade F Unacceptable Language – Refer to Tribunal

The following player was handed a caution:
