Segeyaro suspended following positive drugs test

Former Leeds Rhinos hooker James Segeyaro has been suspended by the NRL after testing positive for a banned substance.

The 28-year-old returned a positive A-sample for di-hydroxy LGD-4033, which is prohibited by the World Anti-Doping Agency, on September 3rd.

The Papua New Guinea international is now prohibited from participating in any sporting activity during his suspension, but has the opportunity for his B sample to be analysed.

Segeyaro joined Brisbane Broncos in May after a period out of the game and made 13 appearances for the club this season.

He was recently named in the PNG Kumuls squad for the World Cup 9s but will now be unable to compete.
