The Hull derby woes have continued for Hull FC as they were on the end of another defeat to Hull KR this afternoon.
It took just three minutes for Sauaso Sue to put the Robins ahead, and they haven’t looked back since.
Mikey Lewis came up big to score a second try, and put any nerves to rest for the Robins.
Matty Storton’s try furthered their advantage, and within the first 20 minutes, they had a three-score lead.
Two quick-fire tries for the Black and Whites ensured the game wasn’t a foregone conclusion – Lewis Martin and fullback Logan Moy scored just a few minutes apart from each other.
However, it was Elliot Minchella that scored the last try of the game, getting on the end of a kick before Mikey Lewis converted seconds before the final hooter.
The final score was 24-10 in favour of the Robins.

However, it was the four yellow cards that sparked debate.
Brad Fash and Elliot Minchella were both sent for ten after sparking a scuffle late on in the first half, after they’d been at it for around ten minutes previous.
Then, Tom Burgess was carded by Chris Kendall, reducing the Robins to 12 men, for ‘delaying the restart’ – a decision that looked incredibly harsh.
Finally, Hull FC’s Denive Balmforth was sin-binned for a late hit – although not really worthy of a yellow itself, his offence followed a number of similar hits from FC players, meaning somebody had to be penalised.

Hull FC fans were quick to suggest the win wasn’t good enough – despite the 14 point difference between the sides.
Scraped a win with your full squad. Embarrassing from the east side of the city

Embarrassing for rovers really, should have been a cricket score on this current FC team the amount of inexperienced youth we have. thats the reason why you won’t win anything

If I was a rovers fan I’d be more worried that we are 2nd bottom and two wins and almost could of had that game

Some Rovers fans were also less than totally impressed with the performance.
An ugly win is a win…..2 points in the bag 👍

Glad for the win but that was awful

However, at the end of the day, that’s six points from a possible six for Hull KR in the Hull derby clashes this year, and Hull FC once again have to look to next week for a victory.
