Sam Tomkins reveals when he will return from injury

Catalans Dragons haven’t hit the same heights they reached in 2021 so far this season but going into today’s game against Hull FC they’re still only two points behind St Helens and Wigan at the top.

However, the Dragons have been without talisman and reigning Man of Steel Sam Tomkins in recent weeks after he fractured his fibula which has seen Arthur Mourgue and Tyrone May figure at fullback in his absence.

Despite the injury, Tomkins did a good job on Channel 4 covering Wigan’s exhilarating clash with Salford. Tomkins will now be on his way to Hull to watch his Catalans side battle Hull FC but is hoping it won’t be long until he’s back in action in game’s like tonight’s huge contest between two sides inside the top six.

Today, live on Channel 4, Tomkins revealed just when he’ll be back from the fracture: “I’ll be back in about four weeks,” he told Channel 4, “We’ve got Warrington at home. I’m hoping that will be my comeback game that’s obviously dependant on healing up, but fingers crossed.”

That game comes on May 13th and means he’ll be fit for the next Channel 4 game which sees a repeat of last year’s Super League semi-final between Hull KR and the Dragons a week later.
