Sam Burgess was sent to the sin bin for the Rabbitohs in today’s game against the Panthers after sparking an all-in brawl between the two sets of players.
With his side 8-0 down in the 15th minute, the England international took it upon himself to provide some aggression in the Bunnies defence.
After consecutive big hits, the Penrith players took offence to the second tackle on the floor which led to both sets of players coming together.
No punches were thrown, but both Burgess and Panthers back Dallin Watene-Zelezniak were sent to the sin bin for slapping (watch the incident below).
Sam’s actions seemed to ignite his teammates as Souths went on to thrash Penrith 42-14, with winger Alex Johnstone crossing for five tries.
