Sam Burgess in tears following ‘death letter’

Sam Burgess became a coach at South Sydney following retirement.

Sam Burgess has been at the forefront of people’s televisions in recent weeks following his highly-publicised venture onto SAS Australia.

And, the latest episode has been no different, with the former South Sydney Rabbitohs enforcer breaking down into tears after writing a ‘death letter’ to his family.

The task, explained by chief instructor Ant Middleton, sees the SAS recruits write a letter before a mission – in case they don’t make it back.

The 32-year-old former rugby league footballer knew it would be an emotional task, and forewarned his fellow recruits as he stepped up to speak.

“Oh my God. I apologise in advance if I get emotional,” Burgess said.
