Warrington Wolves head coach Sam Burgess has shared an update on when John Bateman will be available for the club.
The Wire handed Wigan Warriors a huge 40-4 defeat, and themselves moved to the top of the Super League table this weekend.
A seven-try display was kicked-off by new signing Luke Yates forcing a knock-on with the opening try of the game.
After the game, Sam Burgess said: “I thought we were really disciplined. We came here with a plan that we thought would work. We didn’t really play our greatest game at Wembley, okay? Everyone can see that. Tonight, we just went after our basics as best we can.
“There was a period in the second half, I asked them to get a play on it. They told me to get lost because they were sticking to a more disciplined approach.
“I really enjoyed the discipline. It’s a really difficult game, believe me, they bashed us at moments, but we just got to get down and came up the other side. We got a few bumps and bruises so we’re aware of that as well.”

After the game, Burgess was also asked about another signing, John Bateman – who has joined from Wests Tigers until the end of the current campaign on a loan deal.
Burgess said: “We had an opportunity there where we felt it would add to our team. A lot of our players know John personally as well. I’ve worked with him as a player and he’s such a great competitor.
“It’s not about the position, it’s about the person, bringing in a great competitor. It’s a good time of the year. We thought he was only a benefit for us moving forward.
“He’ll be here next week. I’m looking forward to having him around. He gets in over the weekend so we’ll see how he pulls up but we did bring him in to play, not to sit on the sidelines.”
