Sam Burgess caught in rare moment alongside his brothers

Sam Burgess has had people reminiscing about the time him and the three other Burgess brothers played at South Sydney Rabbitohs.

The quartet helped the Rabbitohs to a Grand Final in 2014 before only Luke was absent for the actual final, when Souths ran out 30-6 winners against the Canterbury Bulldogs.

For Sam, it shot him into Australian folklore as he became the first Englishman to win the Clive Churchill Medal for the man of the match.

And, a rare photo of the quartet in training has since been released with Sam posting it on Instagram with the caption: “What a shot!! I still pinch myself looking back at some moments. The twins make me and Luke look small 😂😂. Anyone know what year this pic was taken?”

Of course, some of his former teammates saw the funny side with Nathan Peats commenting: “Nice photo backstreet boys,” whilst Cody Walker joked: “Head was hammered back then too.”

Sam, who is rumoured to be hunting a spot as England rugby league’s defence coach at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup, had a number of major issues to contend with last year.

Having been crowned victor of the SAS Australia reality TV show, his not guilty verdict for domestic violence was dropped by police.

Burgess also avoided conviction for driving with cocaine in his system in February 2021 after pleading guilty to three driving charges following a police pull-over.
