Salford v Wakefield: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Two of the league’s bottom four do battle tonight as they look to improve their play-off hopes and move further away from the bottom of the league. Salford come into this one on the back of 70-18 victory over Wembley bound Castleford. As for Wakefield, they gave St Helens a good run for their money last Friday and will fancy their chances in this one.

The Red Devils should have a little more balance this week as they welcome back some key men meaning they’re no longer forced to field players out of position. Joe Burgess should come in at centre whilst Tui Lolohea will replace Dec Patton at stand-off. Sebastine Ikihihifo is also back and should give the Red Devils more power down the middle. Tongan halfback Ata Hingano could make his debut most likely from the bench.

Wakefield have a couple of problems on their hands thanks to the suspension of Joe Arundel and Ryan Hampshire. That leaves gaps in Trinity’s back with no natural fullback available. Thus, Innes Senior could very well be tasked with filling the void whilst youngster Ollie Greensmith will likely come in at centre. There’s also a problem at hooker thanks to Kyle Wood’s absence so Brad Walker could start as a makeshift nine whilst out and out hooker Harry Bowes could star from the bench.
