Salford RLFC have confirmed the additions of four more players as they prepare themselves for the start of the Championship season.

The phoenix club are set to take on Oldham on Friday January 16 in their season opener and they have started to confirm the players that will be pulling on the new Salford jersey next week.

The first announcements were made at 3pm this afternoon with Cole Appleby, Sam Hill, Charlie Glover and Domola Lola being announced as Salford players.

All four men have been a part of the Salford Red Devils set up in the past, prior to the club being liquidated, and they will be the ones leading the way as the new outfit embarks on a new journey through the Championship.

However, the club have now confirmed another quartet of players taking their squad list up to eight names so far for 2026. The latest signings are Noah Appleby, Jacob Andrews-Smith, Ollie Garmston and Leunbou Bardyel-Wells.

Appleby was a member of the Salford academy set up last season and has now penned terms with the club. The back-rower will be making his senior debut if he is involved next Friday.

Andrews-Smith has spent time on the books at Bradford Bulls and Salford, while he represented Rochdale Mayfield in the Challenge Cup last year.

Bardyel-Wells is another former Red Devils man, with the former St Helens academy player making two appearances for the Salford first-team. His last senior run out came in the opening game of the 2025 season as Paul Rowley named a much changed team.

Garmston joins Salford after leaving the St Helens youth set up. The back-rower represented the Saints academy and reserve sides last season, with three tries in 13 appearances coming for the youth side, with another seven outings coming in the second string.
