Salford Red Devils vs Toulouse Olympique: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

Toulouse will play their first ever Super League game in Britain today as they travel across from France to take on the Salford Red Devils.

Toulouse didn’t have the start they’d have liked to life in Super League last week. Despite leading 10-0, the French side were hit by an avalanche from Huddersfield who went on to win 42-14.

Somewhat contrastingly, Paul Rowley couldn’t have asked for a better start to 2022 with his Salford side shocking Castleford away with a 26-16 triumph. They’ll be hoping to make it two wins from two at Toulouse’s expense.

Kick-off time and TV Channel

The game will kick off at 15:00 at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Unfortunately the game won’t be available live on TV but the tries will be available on Super League’s official YouTube channel whilst highlights will be shown on BBC’s Super League Show.

Predicted Teams

Salford Red Devils
On the back of such an impressive win last week, I see little in the way of change in terms of how Paul Rowley will set up his side for this game. Ryan Brierley and Brodie Croft will make their home debuts whilst Marc Sneyd will complete the spine as he makes his second home debut for the club. Matt Costello hasn’t been included in the 21-man after being an unused substitute last week. There’s still no Kallum Watkins or Harvey Livett. Costello’s absence means one player could come into the side. He could be replaced by Alex Gerrard or Ryan Lannon.

Toulouse Olympique
Toulouse have a fresh new concern with Dominique Peyroux added to their injury list due to a thigh complaint. He joins Harrison Hansen (shoulder), Latrell Schaumkel (knee), Gadwin Springer (knee) and Mathieu Jussaume (ankle) in the Toulouse treatment room. There’s still no Mark Kheirallah either. Nonetheless, there’ll only be one forced change from Toulouse with Peyroux’s absence meaning the versatile Joseph Paulo will start in the backrow with former Super League Champion Mitch Garbutt coming onto the bench.
