Salford Red Devils vs Leeds Rhinos: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

Just one point separate Salford and Leeds going into today’s game and you feel this fixture could set the trajectory for both teams going forward into the rest of 2022.

The winner could make a surprise push at making the play-offs whilst the loser could be forced back into looking over their shoulder. The Red Devils will be hoping to replicate their win over Leeds earlier in the season whilst the Rhinos are hoping to make it three wins on the spin.

The biggest stories coming into the game of course centre around two men who have previous ties to the Rhinos who are set to start new journeys with the club. Rohan Smith, nephew of former Leeds boss Tony Smith, will take charge of a Leeds game for the first time as he begins a new era at Leeds whilst former Rhinos star Zak Hardaker will make his second debut for the club after making the switch from Wigan.

Kick-off time and TV channel

The game kicks off at 15:00.

There will be no TV coverage but highlights will be available on Super League’s YouTube channel and BBC’s Super League Show.

Predicted Line-ups

Salford Red Devils
There could be some massive returns for Salford with Tim Lafai and Joe Burgess set to add strike to the flanks whilst Marc Sneyd could return to the halves in place of Chris Atkin who may move to the bench as Andy Ackers takes over at nine. There’s a lack of props for the Red Devils which could see former Leeds duo King Vuniyayawa and Jack Ormondroyd start in the front row. Speaking of former Leeds players, former Rhinos skipper Kallum Watkins will continue in the backrow. There may also be a return for Harvey Livett on the bench whilst the likes of Matty Costello and Sam Luckley will be pushing for a place in the side.

Leeds Rhinos

As for other returns, David Fusitu’a is set to play on the wing whilst James Bentley and Zane Tetevano return from bans to replace the suspended Matt Prior and Morgan Gannon.
