The teams for tonight’s Super League clash between Salford Red Devils and Leeds Rhinos have been confirmed.
Meeting for the second time this season, Salford will be hoping to earn their second win and avenge that Round Two loss when Leeds scored 32 unanswered points against them.
Kallum Watkins was on the scoresheet for the Red Devils that day but he has since left Salford and signed with Leeds, although he’ll play no part in the action tonight.
His exit has allowed Salford to register a couple more players on their restricted salary cap, namely Sam Davis and Ben Hellewell who were both named in their 21-man squad.
As for Leeds, Brodie Croft misses out after suffering a hamstring injury meaning Brad Arthur has a decision to make in his halves after having previously left Matt Frawley out.
Salford Red Devils team news
The major blow for Salford Red Devils is that Ryan Brierley isn’t named with the full-back having missed the Challenge Cup clash against Catalans when pulling out in the warm-up.
Chris Atkin steps into the role to form an experienced spine amongst a young team as Jayden Nikorima, Kai Morgan and Joe Mellor feature.
Billy Glover is another youngster called upon to play on the wing as Deon Cross isn’t named.
Salford Red Devils XIII: Chris Atkin, Joshua Wagstaffe, Esan Marsters, Jonny Vaughan, Billy Glover, Jayden Nikorima, Kai Morgan, Jack Ormondroyd, Joe Mellor, Matty Foster, Shane Wright, Kallum Watkins, Harvey Wilson

Leeds Rhinos team news
The only change that Brad Arthur makes to his side sees Matt Frawley return after the injury to Brodie Croft.
Frawley had played in the reserves when the Rhinos last played in Round Six but the Australian is recalled and will potentially be spelled with Jack Sinfield, who has been covering the hooker and haves from the interchange in recent weeks.
Players such as Jack Smith, Alfie Edgell and Presley Cassell, who had all been named in the 21-man squad face off against Bradford Bulls for the reserves.
Leeds Rhinos XIII: Lachie Miller, Ryan Hall, Harry Newman, Ash Handley, Riley Lumb, Matt Frawley, Jake Connor, Mikolak Oledzki, Jarrod O’Connor, Cooper Jenkins, James Bentley, James McDonnell, Keenan Palasia
Interchanges: Morgan Gannon, Sam Lisone, Jack Sinfield, Tom Holroyd

These “new owners” care not one iota about Salford RL, they will run the club into the ground and redevelop the ground and surrounding area; all they care about is filthy lucre.
This time in a couple of years ; Salford RL will be history.
