Salford Red Devils boss Paul Rowley has named four new faces in his squad to take on Hull FC this weekend. The Red Devils have been busy this week, with the departure of Sam Stone on loan to Warrington Wolves clearing the way for a raft of loan signings to be made.
Dan Russell and Tom Whitehead were part of that deal, with the Red Devils landing the former until the end of the season. Russell will add experience and size to their pack after joining Warrington as one of the club’s star off-season recruits.
Kobe Rugless has joined from Hunslet on a two-week loan deal, while the addition of Cain Robb was announced this morning with the Castleford Tigers man making the short-term move, too.
It means Salford can approach this week with a healthier looking group and they’ll be confident of at least causing Hull FC problems this week at the Salford Community Stadium. Salford now have seven players on loan but only six can be named in the squad with Tiaki Chan being the man to drop out.
John Cartwright has made just one change to his squad, with Logan Moy coming in for Will Hutchinson. The Black and Whites boss confirmed that every member of the side that played against Castleford Tigers last week was fit to go around again when speaking on Thursday.
He also said that Liam Watts would have been involved had he not injured his knee in training this week.
