When Marc Sneyd made the transfer move from Hull FC to the Salford Red Devils, there were a number of eyebrows raised.
Here was a halfback who had helped the Black and Whites to successive Challenge Cup wins in 2016 and 2017 – where he won the Lance Todd Trophy both times – moving to another Super League side without so much of a rumour doing the rounds before he signed.
The majority of people were taken aback, but Sneyd rejoined his hometown club on a three-year deal, ready to create a legacy for the Red Devils.
Since then, the halfback was pivotal to Salford’s great start to the 2022 Super League season – though that run of form has ended in recent weeks – striking up a vital partnership with Brodie Croft in the halves.
Sneyd also talked before the season about how he was still living in Hull, or rather Brough, despite hoping to be settled in the Salford area before the beginning of the 2022 campaign.
However, the Salford number 7 has now confirmed that he has moved house with a post on his Instagram account.
He stated: “Well Brough, it’s been a pleasure, see you in Blackies soon I hope.” Blackies is, of course, a bar in Hull.

It’s the end of a legacy that Sneyd has created in Hull during his seven-year spell in East Yorkshire.
