Every team in Super League should be worried about Salford Red Devils.

They finished last year brilliantly and have kept their key players and have added further depth to their squad including Leigh Leopards star Sam Stone.

He is determined to knock the top two off next year too as he identified Wigan Warriors and St Helens as the bench mark as he warned them that the Red Devils were gunning for them.

“I’m really excited to play in Super League again. It’s a great competition especially those top two teams St Helens and Wigan Warriors,” he said on the club’s website.

“They were really dominant. I think Salford and Leeds Rhinos made a good run at it.

“But I think they’ll be the benchmark again and I can’t wait to knock them off.”

Talking about the acquisition of Stone at the time, Head Coach, Paul Rowley said: “On behalf of all the players and staff I am delighted to welcome Sam to Salford. I’ve admired Sam’s work ethic and attitude from the moment he came over to England and these attributes were very evident in his performances throughout last season.

“Kurt has worked with Sam and as always been very complimentary in his admiration of him. A player with his work ethic and character is exactly the type of player we want in our group.”
