Salford Red Devils’ Loghan Lewis discusses his future beyond 2025

Salford Red Devils Loghan Lewis

Loghan Lewis isn’t stressing about what the future holds as he prepares for his first full season as a Salford Red Devils player.

The forward initially joined the Red Devils from Canberra Raiders in May on a short-term deal until the end of the 2024 Super League season. Lewis wasted no time making his mark in Super League and while he only played 11 games for the club last season, he won the club’s Hitman of the Year award.

As such, extending his stay at the Salford Community Stadium seemed like something of a no-brainer for Salford, with Lewis now contracted to remain with the club until the end of the 2025 season.

Given his contract situation, this year is a big one for the 22-year-old as he strives to nail down another deal and secure his future in the game. But Lewis won’t spend too much time thinking about what lies ahead as he focuses on the performing in the red of Salford.

“I’m not sure,” Lewis said on his future while speaking in a Q&A on his YouTube channel. “I’ve got to take it year by year. Obviously, I’m staying for this year so I’ll just play my footy one game at a time and see what pans out.

“But I’m not too stressed about what’s going to happen, I have just got to play my best football and the rest will sort out itself.”

Lewis is one of raft of players off-contract at the end of the upcoming season at Salford and that includes some key men such as the likes of Tim Lafai, Deon Cross, Kallum Watkins, Jayden Nikorima and Chris Hankinson.

As such, it promises to be a pivotal few months for the Red Devils as they plan ahead to 2026 and beyond and wrap up the futures of some of their best and most important players.
