Since Super League began, the Warrington Wolves have been the target of much fan banter with regards to their silverware position.
The quote “it’s always their year” is one which almost every Super League fan will be aware of and one which Warrington supporters must surely be fed up of hearing by now.
However, the Salford Red Devils Twitter account has joined in on the action, mocking both Manchester United and the Warrington Wolves at the same time.
The infamous Spiderman meme – where two men dressed up as Spiderman in a cartoon show – was posted alongside the caption: “When @WarringtonRLFC met @ManUtd“
It received a great deal of attention as well as a hilarious reply from the Salford admin stating that the admin of the account is actually a Manchester United fan.
The Red Devils – in rugby league terms – are still on the lookout for a new head coach following the departure of Richard Marshall, but have recruited the likes of NRL halfback Brodie Croft in an attempt to improve on the 11th placed finish in 2021.
