Bourouh played in last year’s semi-final against St Helens so Barrow are getting a high quality player.

This comes after Hull FC confirmed that Matty Laidlaw and Nick Staveley have joined Newcastle Thunder on dual-registration.

The pair head to the North East to join up with the Betfred Championship side ahead of Sunday’s trip to face Featherstone Rovers, joining fellow Black & White Denive Balmforth who is already with the club on loan.

The 19-year olds are expected to be involved in this weekend’s action for Chris Thorman’s side.

The Black & Whites announced the Thunder as their new dual-registration partners for the 2023 season, with the agreement allowing the movement of players between the clubs to provide extra playing opportunities throughout the year, helping nurture the best young talents for both sides.

Liam Tindall and James McDonnell meanwhile will be joining Bradford Bulls on dual-registration from Leeds Rhinos.

Tindall played in the Super League semi-final for Leeds last year and can cover the fullback position which the injured Jack Walker cannot fill at the moment.

James McDonnell meanwhile is a new signing for the Rhinos from Wigan Warriors.

He played in the Championship last year on loan at Leigh. His pre-season was strong till an illness saw him miss the game against Hull KR.

He was left out of the side against Warrington Wolves last week following this.

When Leeds met Bradford in pre-season, Dunning said he would be keeping an eye on the Leeds players and saw both Tindall and McDonnell play.

At the time he said:

“Yeah, I’ll be watching them, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t but I’ll be focused first on our boys because they have earnt the right to wear the shirt. I have been really honest with the guys about the dual reg partnership.”
