Salford Red Devils announce the re-signing of experienced back row Andrew Dixon

Salford Red Devils have announced the signing of Toulouse Olympique back row Andrew Dixon on a two year deal.

Dixon who is originally from Manchester, burst onto the scene with St Helens where he played 67 games across four seasons. He then joined the Red Devils in 2013 and made 37 appearances across his two years with the club.

After leaving Salford he enjoyed stints with Leigh and Toronto winning promotion back to Super League with both clubs.

Most recently, the now experienced back row helped Toulouse reach Super League for the first time in 2021 and played for the club in the top flight in 2022.

Speaking about his return to Salford, this is what Dixon had to say.

“I’m delighted to have signed for such a progressive club like Salford Red Devils and I’m really looking forward to getting going with this playing group and staff.”

Head Coach, Paul Rowley also said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Andrew to the club. He is the consummate professional and a fantastic person who I know without doubt will further enhance our playing culture and provide experience and quality to our team.

“Along with our other recent signings, I know Dicko joins us for the right reasons and is motivated, proud and excited to join the group.”
