Salford Red Devils have announced the signing of London Broncos man Sam Davis ahead of next season. The hooker has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the club, keeping him at the Salford Community Stadium until the end of the 2026 Super League season.
Davis has spent much of his career to date with the Broncos having had two spells with the club as a player. The first of those came to an end in 2021 as he left the capital to join York Knights, but he returned to the Broncos on loan and the deal was made permanent again ahead of the 2023 campaign.
Since then he has been a key man for the London club, helping them win promotion to the Super League, scoring three tries and assisting three more in 22 appearances in the top flight.
He becomes the second 2025 recruit announced by Salford, following the addition of Esan Marsters from Huddersfield Giants and he’ll help to fill the void left by Hull FC bound Amir Bourouh.
“After what has been a tough season with a lot of ups and downs, I am buzzing to have signed with Salford for the next two years,” Davis told Salford Red Devils’ club media after joining the club.
“After facing them twice this season it was clear that they are a top-quality team, with quality players, so I am really happy to be joining their ranks next season.
“I have heard great things from a few familiar faces at the club about the group and the staff, and also to work under Paul who was formally a hooker will be great for the development of my game.
“I can’t wait to rip-in for the team and club next season!”
Davis will link up with Paul Rowley’s side on the first day of pre-season and he could be joined by more recruits.
