Salford prop hit with suspension

Adam Walker has been issued with a two-match penalty notice for a Grade C dangerous contact charge.

The Salford forward was cited for a crusher tackle on Castleford winger James Clare in the 41st minute of Friday’s Super League clash at the AJ Bell Stadium.

Walker was put on report for the incident but will now sit out the Red Devils’ next two matches following the charge from the RFL’s Match Review Panel.

Elsewhere, Leeds prop Ava Seumanufagai escaped suspension and was cautioned for two separate charges of raising the knees and dangerous contact.
