Salford condemn behaviour of supporters

Salford Red Devils have released a statement condemning the behaviour of a minority of fans following last night’s Challenge Cup victory against Hull Kingston Rovers.

The club will now work with Sky Sports and the AJ Bell Stadium to try identify those causing trouble; the full statement can be seen below:

“Sadly last night’s terrific win and progression to the Quarter Final of the Ladbrokes Challenge cup was tainted by the inappropriate behaviour of a tiny number of supporters, which goes against the integrity of both the Club, the Stadium and the sport’s Code of Conduct.

Working together with Sky Sports and the AJ Bell Stadium, the Club is undertaking an investigation to weed out this disruptive minority and moving forward this type of immature behaviour will not be tolerated.

Salford Red Devils would like to finish by thanking the vast majority of supporters of both clubs for their impeccable behaviour during a fantastic game of rugby league. We wish Hull KR the best of luck for the remainder of the season.”
