Salford Red Devils have announced Head Coach Ian Watson and Head of Strength and Conditioning Greg Brown have extended their current deals.

Both have signed new two-year extensions to their current contracts. They also played crucial roles in Salford reaching the Super League Grand Final in 2019.

Watson said: “I’m ambitious and I want to win things.

“To do that, you’ve got to build foundations and have them in place.

“The club are showing that they want to go in that direction.”

He added: “We can now tell players that we’re here for the next few years and invite them to come along for the adventure.”

Brown added: “It’s a great feeling for me – to extend my stay here. I’m really happy here.

“Watto’s a very meticulous coach. He’s got a vision and a plan, which we all buy into, so I’m very excited.

“There’s belief in the club. We always believe we can do big things.”

They will be hoping to celebrate their new deals with a result against St Helens on Friday in the first game of the season.
