Prices have tumbled on St Helens winning Thursday’s live clash with Warrington at the HJ on Thursday with the news that the Wire are without 8 senior players .
The likes of Clark , Austin and Hughes all miss the game as they try to get fit for the clash at Wembley in 2 weeks .
It’s now around 1/4 for an away win with Saints only missing Roby from the side that beat Wakefield last week , Wire are out to around 3/1 to pull off what would now be quite a shock .
Ignoring the controversy surrounding Wire’s game in France last week , they also have a very short turnaround and it’s hard to see anything other than a Saints win but the handicap sees the league leaders conceding a 12 point start and the Wolves could stay inside that .
Given they have the Shield wrapped it’s hard to see the Red V being too fired up for this with Wembley so close and the Wire replacements may be playing for places in the Final . They can add Matty Smith to their side and he is a great organiser and will surely jump at the opportunity offered up by Steve Price .
An away win by around 6-10 is where I see this but this probably a game best left alone with much bigger ones to come .
Ratchford at 10/1 and Fages at the same odds would be my man of the match picks just ahead of Smith at 12/1 and 16/1 Luke Thompson .
Leeds host Catalans on Friday , as always please gamble responsibly .
