St Helens prop Matty Lees will miss this Saturday’s Challenge Cup Final at Wembley.
The 21-year-old picked up a serious abdominal injury in Friday night’s win over Leeds Rhinos and will now miss Saturday’s clash with Warrington.
It will be a big blow to both Justin Holbrook’s squad and the youngster, who has been almost ever-present this season, making 27 appearances.
While Lees will miss out, there are no other injury concerns for Saints, with Holbrook otherwise having a fully fit squad to choose from.
In Lees’ absence, Alex Walmsley and Luke Thompson will likely take the starting prop roles, with Kyle Amor and Jack Ashworth on the bench.
