Saints odds on to go marching on

Catalans Dragons 24-28 St Helens

The greatest game returns to council tele this weekend as the beeb have 2 games in the Challenge Cup.

1st up on Saturday is the tie of the round between Castleford and St Helens. This looked a trickier tie for league leaders Saints when the draw was made a couple of weeks ago, but a raft of injuries and a poor result in Hull last week for the Tigers Has led to the redvee being installed 4/9 favourites to win this.

The Tigers have lost 2 or their last 3 and will be without Luke Gale for a while so it’s no surprise that you can get over 2/1 for a home win, something that would have been unheard of last year.
Whilst I think Saints will probably get the job done the jungle is still a hard place to go to and I think Daryl Powell’s side can stay inside the handicap which gives them an 8 point start at around even money if you shop around. Only Warrington have won their this season and that was in a monsoon.

A Saints win by the minimum 1-5 point margin is how I see this in what should be a great game for the cameras.
You can boost the 4/9 for Saints to around even money on the Half Time Full Time and an away win by 1-12 points is 9/4.

Barba will be all the rage for this one and he’s 4/1 jolly  for man of the match, Roby is a danger at 6/1 but I’d just prefer the Saints star back.

As for the hosts Jamie Ellis would be my pick at 12/1 ahead of 8/1 Mcshane.
Hopefully the BBC will ditch the Sky let’s let the public decide method.
Plenty of other markets, Barba is 8/1 favourite for the 1st try, I like the look of Minikin or Makinson both at 12/1.

We’ll have a look at Warrington v Toronto tomorrow, as always please gamble responsibly
