Wigan make the short trip to Langtree Park for Friday night rugby and for all the table shows this is a bigger game for the Warriors , Justin Holbrook’s side would love a 3rd win over their fierce rivals .
Saints won both regular season games and the bookies make them 1/2 favourites to win this , with the Warriors around 15/8 .
Saints got back on track with a win at Wakefield last time out and will be confident of putting a dent in Wigan’s top 2 hopes .
The league leaders had been on a little wobble since losing the cup semi final , Huddersfield won at Langtree in week one of the super 8 .
Shaun Wane’s side though have won both their Super 8 games , Catalans maybe had an eye on the Cup Final 2 weeks ago and will feel they can get a result here .
You could argue a case for both sides but the win at Wakefield was just what Saints needed and I think they can win this by the minimum 1-5 point margin in what should be a very close game .
If you shop around though you can get Wigan with an 8 point start on the handicap and that is where the value probably lies with this one . It’s worth shopping around for the extra 2 point start as most bookies make the handicap 6 , Saints backers can get them only conceding a 4 point start at Hills, or even money on the Half Time Full Time .
The lead usually changes hands a few times in these derbies and there are worse 6/1 shots than Wigan to be winning at Half Time and Saints wining at full time , the reverse is 9/1 .
Barba heads 1st try lists at 17/2 but Regan Grace would be my pick at 11/1 . 14/1 could be too big for Escare if he starts on the wing .
