With Castleford down to the bare bones for the visit of Huddersfield to the Jungle last night, head coach Daryl Powell had to raid local rivals Featherstone for two of their stars.
Ex-Tiger Jake Sweeting and Loui McConnell joined the Tigers on an initial one-week loan, but with both stars being part-time, they actually had to come from work to participate in last night’s fixture.
Sweeting’s father took to Twitter to showcase just how mad the past 24 hours had been for his son, and the fact that he would have to get up for work as normal in the morning after playing a physical game of rugby following eight hours at work.
Wow what a day!! 8 hours at work today, straight down the lane and scores on his super league debut. Back to work in the morning🙈🙈 https://t.co/vckY1keFLw
