St George Illawarra forward Paul Vaughan has given an emotional first interview after being sacked in an incredible turn of events.
Vaughan joined Fox League’s NRL 360 for an exclusive interview just hours after his $800,000-a-season contract was torn up by the Dragons.
“It was a very bad judgment call on my behalf and obviously very stupid,” Vaughan told NRL 360.
“I’m deeply remorseful and very sorry for what’s happened. I can’t express that enough.
“It was a terrible judgment call and one that I very, very much regret.”
The forward also took to Instagram to project his sorrow.
