Six Super League players suspended

Six Super League players have been suspended following the double-header weekend of action.

Leigh centre Ben Crooks has been banned for two matches after he pleaded guilty to the grade B dangerous contact which saw him sin-binned against Castleford on Monday.

Catalans forward Julian Bousquet has been banned for one match after he pleaded guilty to a grade A high tackle against Hull on Monday evening.

Meanwhile Black and Whites’ prop Liam Watts has been banned for one match after he pleaded guilty to the grade A high tackle that saw him shown a red card during the clash in Perpignan.

Watts’ team-mate Josh Griffin has also been suspended. He used his early guilty plea for grade B contact with a Match Official – receiving a one-match ban.

Warrington hooker Daryl Clark has been handed a one-match ban for punching during the match against Leeds on Friday.

Clark exchanged blows with Steve Ward during the match, the Rhinos forward used his early guilty plea yesterday and was also banned for one match.

Two Super League players escaped bans, Catalans’ Sam Moa and Warrington’s Joe Philbin given £300 fines for charges of punching and dangerous contact respectively.
