Rugby League on TV this week as Castleford play at home

This weekend kicks off round six of Super League and round four of the NRL and here’s a round-up of all the rugby league on TV this week.

In the NRL, three games have been selected by Sky Sports with all matches live on Watch NRL.

Super League features two games live on Sky Sports Action and another across the BBC’s online platforms, with four games featured on Super League+ and Sky Sports+.

Here’s a list of when and where you can watch rugby league on TV this week.

All rugby league on TV this week across Super League and NRL

Thursday 27th March

Your first dose of NRL coverage this week sees South Sydney Rabbitohs host Penrith Panthers. Both sides have underperformed in 2025, which is why this is only 11th v 12th in the table. They both also lost last week to Cronulla Sharks and Melbourne Storm respectively so will be looking to get back to winning ways.

There’s expected to be a bumper crowd as Castleford Tigers take on Hull FC in the Thursday night game of Super League. Castleford have just one win to their name after beating fellow strugglers Salford Red Devils 22-14 at the start of the month. However, Danny McGuire’s side will be hoping to get one over on one of the rivals on Thursday.

Hull FC are loving their start to 2025 with just one loss against reigning champions Wigan Warriors in round two. With over 1400 travelling supporters expected, the Black and Whites will be hoping their fans are in full voice to help them get an away victory.

Friday 28th March

There’s a double helping of both NRL and Super League on Friday, kicking off with Sydney Roosters v Gold Coast Titans at 7:00am followed by Dolphins v Brisbane Broncos at 9:00am. The latter game is live on Sky Sports if you want some Friday morning NRL action. The home sides in both fixtures are lurking around the bottom of the table with the Roosters just one place above the Dolphins in 14th and 15th. The visitors are having significantly better seasons with Gold Coast mid-table and the Broncos up in 5th.

Friday night Super League sees Warrington Wolves host Leeds Rhinos, live on Sky Sports Action. It’s a mid-table clash between 7th and 6th, with both sides sitting on six points. Both teams come off a narrow two-point victory last weekend so we expect another close encounter.

The second Super League game sees Wakefield Trinity travel to Leigh Leopards. Leigh will be looking to bounce back after a 30-0 loss to Hull KR spoilt their unbeaten run. Wakefield were on the losing end of a 16-12 scoreline against Hull FC last weekend.

Saturday 29th March

Another four matches are available to watch on Saturday. Again, three NRL matches are being shown back to back. First up is St George Illawarra Dragons and Melbourne Storm as the Storm look to continue their 100% record for the season with two wins and a bye so far. The Dragons have lost both of their opening games but it looks like it’ll be an uphill climb this week against a confident Melbourne side.

North Queensland Cowboys host Canberra Raiders in the 6:30am game. The Cowboys are being kept off the bottom spot by just points difference whereas the Raiders will be looking to bounce back from their first defeat of the season last week.

In what could be the best game of the weekend, 6th meet 2nd as Crnulla Sharks face Canterbury Bulldogs. Canterbury have been the surprise package of 2025 so far with three wins from three games so far. Cronulla lost in round one to Penrith but with two wins on the bounce, can they make it three and spoil the Bulldogs 100% record?

Saturday evening’s Super League game sees Catalans Dragons host St Helens. The Dragons have finally got their season started with two wins on the bounce against Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Tigers. Saints will be looking to get their season back on track following a narrow 14-12 defeat to Warrington last week.

Sunday 30th March

There are two NRL games on Sunday, starting with Manly Sea Eagles v Parramatta Eels. This match-up looks to be going only one way, with Manly being the league’s joint top points-scorers and the Eels having the joint worst defence.

Wests Tigers v New Zealand should be a tighter affair as 4th versus 7th play off. Both sides have two wins and oe loss to their name but Wests have a much superior points difference. The Warriors need to start scoring more if they want to compete against the top sides.

You can watch two Super League games on Sunday afternoon as Huddersfield Giants host Hull KR and Wigan Warriors play Salford Red Devils. Considering the two match-ups, you’d expect nothing but Hull KR and Wigan victories as Huddersfield sit at the foot of the Super League table and Salford have just the one win to their name after beating the Giants 23-10 last Thursday.

Hull KR will hope to maintain their 100% record and go for their sixth Super League win in a row whereas the Warriors will be hoping to put last week’s 12-10 loss against Leeds Rhinos behind them and close the gap the leaders.
