It has been a busy 24 hours with major stories breaking from Super League and the NRL.

Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Westerman unhappy

Castleford Tigers’ Joe Westerman has spoken out against the yellow card handed to Huddersfield Giants hooker Danny Levi after the two clashed on Saturday afternoon.

The Tigers ended up on the receiving end of a 36-24 defeat – their fourth loss in five games. Read more on Westerman’s views here.

Ex-Leeds and Hull KR forward finds new club

Former Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR forward Nathaniel Peteru has, according to League Express, crossed the code line.

Peteru is currently training with Sale Sharks in the English Premiership after failing to earn a Super League deal.

Watson calls out ‘gamesmanship’

Huddersfield Giants head coach Ian Watson has called out the increasing gamesmanship in Super League following his side’s 36-24 win over Castleford Tigers at the weekend.

Watson’s Giants were on the receiving end of two yellow cards – both of which were contentious. Read more on his views here. Watson also told League Express that clubs are ‘cheating’ to earn penalties.

Radford speaks out

Castleford Tigers head coach Lee Radford has spoken out about his side’s defeat on Saturday to Huddersfield Giants.

Good Friday fixture changed

An important fixture has been changed on Good Friday with both clubs involved giving their agreement.

Gale breaks silence

Luke Gale has not only broken the silence on his controversial Leeds Rhinos exit, but also his five-match ban given for foul play on St Helens’ Jonny Lomax.

Koukash fires shots at Leeds

Ex-Salford Red Devils owner Marwan Koukash has fired shots at Leeds Rhinos following their defeat to Hull FC.

Bradford Bulls star Jordan Lilley has told the Telegraph & Argus what his injury hell was like in the 2021 Championship season.

Lilley had formed a good partnership with the now retired Danny Brough a year ago, but has had to move on.

Ex-Bradford man’s brain damage

A former Bradford Bulls man has told the New Zealand Herald all about his damaging brain injury that forced his retirement.

He was forced into early retirement and has now spoken of the horrific concussion symptoms. Read more here.

Wigan Warriors assistant coach Lee Briers watched his son in action over the weekend after making his professional club debut.

Briers was at the Warrington Wolves for over two decades along with his son, but they both left at the end of 2021. Read more here.

Sky Sports pundit Jon Wilkin has given his honest assessment of Hull FC following their performance against Leeds Rhinos last week.
