Wigan Warriors v Warrington Wolves team news as Sam Burgess makes halves call

Warrington Wolves

Wigan Warriors take on an injury-hit Warrington Wolves and the team news is in with Sam Burgess forced into several changes.

With both George Williams and Marc Sneyd out, Burgess was faced with a decision in his halves. He has recently utilised hooker Danny Walker in the position but there were concerns over the England number nine.

After Marc Sneyd left the field in Round Nine with a broken eye socket, Ben Currie was thrust into the halves whilst all three of Stefan Ratchford, Oli Leyland and academy star Ewan Irwin were named to the 21-man squad as possible options.

As for Wigan, they welcomed Tyler Dupree back to their 21-man squad with the prop returning from a HIA meaning Matt Peet’s Warriors are close to full strength.

Wigan won the Round Three meeting in Las Vegas 48-24 and another win would push the Warriors into second in Super League. The team news for both sides is now in.
