Salford RLFC have been boosted with the addition of two loanees from Wigan Warriors for Friday night’s Challenge Cup clash against Hull FC.
Hull FC will make the trip over to face Salford on Friday night with the phoenix club previously explaining that they had sought a Saturday kick-off but could not arrange that due to ground-share partners Sale Sharks playing at home on Sunday.
Per the ground-share agreement, more than 24 hours is required between games, meaning that Salford have been forced to host the Black and Whites on Friday night. As such, a smaller crowd than had been hoped is expected given the late trip over the Pennines.
Hull FC have named a very strong side for the game with one of the few notable absentees being winger Lewis Martin, who just signed a new five-year deal with the club. The 21-year-old had picked up a knock in the pre-season loss to Wigan so his omission could simply be precaution.
