Here is a round-up of everything that has happened…

Rob Burrow Day

With yesterday being 07/07, it was Rob Burrow day so it wouldn’t be right to reflect on yesterday without mentioning the Super League legend.

An eight-time Super League Champion, he’s more of a legend for the way he has battled MND.

Woolf future still unclear

On Wednesday Kristian Woolf said his future is still unclear and a decision would be made “when the time is right.”

The lack of clarity where his future is concerned was only compounded yesterday when it was reported by Zero Tackle that New Zealand Warriors have appointed a new coach turning away from their interest in Woolf.

Jack Walker Leeds Rhinos future

When Leeds Rhinos let Jack Walker leave on loan to Hull FC many assumed that the fullback may have played his last game for Leeds.

However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with Rohan Smith stating that when the loan move is over Walker will return to Headingley. Read more here.

Rhinos recruitment

Rohan Smith has explained that there would be no signing for Leeds Rhinos this week but that the door is open for the club to recruit in the coming weeks.

He also revealed that there is no plans to move players on immediately saying that it’s a “case by case” situation. Read more here.

Partington on the move

Yorkshire Live yesterday revealed that Oliver Partington is on the radar of a number of clubs.

However, it seems Salford are the frontrunners for his signature.

21-man squads

The teams set for Day One of the Magic Weekend announced their 21-man squads with the aforementioned Bowden set for a debut against Toulouse.

Nadine Dorries message

Yorkshire Live has revealed the message Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries has sent to rugby league fans after her blunder promoting the Rugby league World Cup.

She accidentally mixed up the two codes of rugby in her speech last week.

Player charged with “homophobic abuse”

Sadly, one Championship player has been sent to tribunal after being accused of “homophobic abuse.”

He’s one of three players who were yesterday sent to tribunal for varying offences. Read more here.

Wigan Warriors injury worries

Wigan are set to have a nervous wait on one key player’s fitness ahead of their huge clash with St Helens at the Magic Weekend with one man described as “touch and go.”

Bradford Bulls make coaching decision

Bradford Bulls yesterday announced that Mark Dunning would be their permanent Head Coach.

He’ll be joined by the returning Brian Noble as reported Yorkshire Post.
